In Tarot, each card depicts an image of a symbol or a scene that is itself symbolic. The newest additions to our Plant Cult series is analogous to this. Each design was created in joyful collaboration with the amazing and talented Italian designer Novella Locritani to depict specific messages regarding animal rights and animal agriculture. This card, "The Activist", portrays the dedication, courage and vulnerability of animal activists taking up the cause. From public exhibitions of slaughterhouse footage to animal rescues to street activism, these individuals place their very well being on the line for these animals; often times at risk of verbal vitriol and sometimes even physical altercation. This card is an ode to their courage and devotion.
